4-3-1-2 Formation unbeatable?

Post by Guest on Mon Jun 11 2012, 12:28

I play a 4-4-2 formation, when I meet a team with 4-3-1-2 i always loose. Any tips or tricks do beat down a 4-3-1-2 formation? Weaknesses etc.

Try a formation with at least one CDM. 4-3-1-2 has three basically three strikers so you may need more than your back four. I wouldn't go with five at the back though as it almost feels like three at the back.

Switch to 4-1-2-1-2. The CDM will take the CF out the game...

anything with 5 in the midfield is very good- i have 3 4312 teams and with 5 in midfield you can 1-2 it past the left and right midfield really quite easily and then be in on the back 4.
i find 41212 can go either way depending on whether the game is played centrally or along the wings
also 4231 is really good-the 2 cdms stop the cf getting it to the strikers and provide that extra defence while pushing forward enough to overrun their 3 in midfield so that your attackers can cause havok for their defence

ppl who plays 4312 often use 1-1 pass between CF and STR
so what I normally do is instead of defending a player with ball I mark the player that running after passing the ball and use R1(computer) to defense the one with the ball

I'm using 4-3-1-2 as my favorite formation ..

what can I say is that I struggle alot if I'm playing against teams with 5 in the back.

Also what I dont like in my formation is sometimes a wide gap forms between the midfielders and the defenders when I face counter attacks. So one perfect long pass to your attackers during a counter attack will take off my whole team and you will only face my 2 defenders (sometimes my keeper okay )

This is some of the weaknesses that I've experienced so far !

Wow, it worked great. Played against a 4-1-2-1-2 formation with 4-4-2. I had a hard time getting throught the defence. 40 minutes played with a scoreline of 0-0. I decided to give 4-5-1 a try. Won 6-0, he rage quitted at 72 minutes in the game.
